Hotel Indigo – Newcastle

Newcastle

It’s been a few years back that I visited Newcastle but since I will be back this year I thought it was time to share this tip for a great hotel in the city. Getting to Newcastle from the Netherlands takes a few hours and going by boat is a fun way to start your trip. We stayed right in the centre in beautiful hotel Indigo. It’s a boutique hotel which always means it is slight more expensive but you’re right where the action is. And you get anywhere on foot. Which is always a good thing in my book.

The restaurant of the famous Marco Pierre White is located right inside the hotel Perfect to combine a dinner there and staying in the hotel. Do bring a fair amount of cash as the hotel is not cheap. We haven’t had dinner yet in the restaurant but will definitely be doing that for the next time here.

As I mentioned the hotel is not cheap but if you’re out and about for a weekend of spoiling yourself why not do it from a good hotel. The price for a room is around € 200,-. Not cheap but worth it.

Travelling makes my heart beat just a little faster. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to discover the world and experience other cultures. Ever since our first far away trip to Mexico in 1997 I love to explore outside of Europe. Having said that: there is so much to see closer to home still! Combining travel with delicious food is the ultimate combination as far as I'm concerned. Of all my travels I have kept journals. That's why this site is called 'Paper Travels"
